Update for Monday, March 17th 2025

Dear Church family and friends,

With a sermon entitled “Stop pretending, repent and believe”, Pastor Lucas continued preaching through Matthew 23, focussing on verses 13 through 15. The passage itself pretends to be longer than it is – as it is only two verses in length – and he explains why in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YssTB4Q4wqE

The video may end more abruptly than you would expect. In previous recordings we have managed to include the preacher’s closing ‘Amen’ but, as you will see, there were some issues with the livestream this Sunday. We apologise again to those who tuned in live.

This week in Church…

Coming Up…

Some countries – notably USA – have already done so, so you might be wondering when it is our turn to change the clocks to mark the beginning of spring. The Sunday after next, 29th March, the clocks will go forward an hour giving us the opportunity to use as much of the daylight hours as possible. Don’t let it take you by surprise and turn up to Church late on Sunday morning!

Three weeks later is Easter. As a reminder:
There will be a Maundy Thursday evening service on 17th April, starting at 6pm. There will be no Good Friday service, nor will we meet together on the Saturday. Sunday 20th, however, we will be celebrating together with an Easter Sunday breakfast from 9am. In the coming weeks a list will appear where you can sign-up and tell us that you and your family will be there, as well as what you will contribute to the meal. At 11am, we will then continue with a Resurrection Sunday service.

God be with you in this week!
