Dear Church family and friends,
Some things belong to autumn – colder nights, the leaves changing colour, pumpkins and collecting the last of what the garden has grown this summer. Other things we have added like the schoolchildren having two weeks off of school; the students returning to or starting university, and the weekly Church announcement resuming after a small break. As usual, we can share links to the sermons that have been preached while we were having a pause so that you may enjoy them whenever you are able to do so:

This week in Church…
Young Adults’ Bible Study (YABS) meets on Tuesday evenings at 7pm. More information can be found in the WhatsApp group or by asking Pastor Johannes, Mona or Oliver. Another way you can get in touch is by writing to yabs@ibc-giessen.org.
Mid-Week Bible Study on Wednesday continues its journey through the book of Hebrews. The group will meet online on Wednesday at 7pm to discuss and reflect on this week’s chapter. Don’t worry if you have missed the other sessions so far; just be ready with a Bible, the link and a heart for learning!
Worship Service on Sunday morning will take place at 11am. There will be a livestream available for those unable to make it to the Chapel Room at the FTH.
For a full list of all upcoming events at IBC Giessen, please take a look at the Church Calendar on our website: https://www.ibc-giessen.org/calendar/. If you require a link to our livestream or any other online activity we have coming up this week, please e-mail office@ibc-giessen.org.
A brief look at the end of October…
The last (full) weekend of this month brings two food-related events: the first is for men only, as they will be meeting for breakfast on Saturday 24th at 9:30am in their usual place of the Campus für Christus kitchen.
On Sunday 25th, directly after the service at the FTH, we will be sharing a Pot-Luck together as a Church family. It will be a time to reflect on God’s provision for us in this year, in a ‘thanksgiving’ or ‘harvest’ celebration sort of way. So bring a dish and consider how good the Lord has been to you in this season.
Have a blessed week!
