Dear Church family and friends,
Words like ‘sanctify’, ‘righteousness’ and ‘justification’ can come across as quite intimidating. They can be a barrier for non-believers to fully give their lives to Christ, as they suggest a standard which they need to reach before doing so. Some believers, if they are completely honest with themselves, might not really know what these words mean in regards to their relationship with the Lord. In Sunday’s sermon, Pastor Buddy gives a solid definition of these words, as well as explaining why it is Jesus’ actions that make them important to us: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XK24Go1M6Ow

November news…
Our Pot-Luck on 16th November has been in your diaries and on your calendars for a while now, but there is an extra date to add! The Sunday after, the 23rd November, we will be having a Packing & Pizza Party for the Seaman’s boxes. If you have made your own box at home, this would be your opportunity to bring it with you – however, you can bring some items to contribute to a box, should you feel that you cannot manage to put together a complete one on your own. For more information on what to pack please write to the e-mail address given above.
Christmas is around the corner – take a look at your calendar, the First Sunday of Advent is only in a matter of weeks! More than ever we look forward to this season of light and hope, particularly with Halloween being celebrated on Friday. Let us not forget to pray for those who choose to remain in the darkness; who do not know, or will not accept, the gift of Jesus in their lives. As our thoughts turn to preparing for the festivities, we should also remember those who feel that joy and comfort is far away and plan on being a blessing to them.
Have a blessed week!
