Update for Tuesday, April 7th 2026

Dear Church family and friends,

There’s a Psalm for every occasion – even it seems, for Easter. In his sermon from this Sunday, Pastor Buddy looked at Psalm 22. The opening lines might be familiar to you. It was certainly known to Jesus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFpMxHSFMus

There is also a much shorter video for Maundy Thursday’s service, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pa9ZQGjnPD4. There was no one specific sermon as such; rather the video shows a couple of snippets of Pastor Buddy commemorating the events of years ago.

This week in Church…

Young Adults’ Bible Study (YABS) meets on Tuesday evenings at 7pm. More information can be found in the WhatsApp group or by asking Pastor Johannes, Mona or Oliver. Another way you can get in touch is by writing to yabs@ibc-giessen.org.

Mid-Week Bible Study resumes tomorrow (Wednesday 8th) at 7pm via Zoom. Whether it’s your first or fortieth time, we look forward to seeing your there!

King’s Daughters are planning on meeting for breakfast on Saturday morning at 9:30am in the kitchen at Campus für Christus. As yet they are quite a small group, so if you are a woman and would like to attend, please write to the e-mail address given below or put a thumbs-up in the King’s Daughters WhatsApp group as soon as possible!
UPDATE: Due to lack of numbers, this has sadly been cancelled. The next King’s Daughters breakfast will be held on Saturday 9th May.

Worship Service on Sunday morning at 11am in the Chapel Room at the FTH facilities will of course be livestreamed for those still on their Easter holidays or otherwise unable to attend in person.

For a full list of all upcoming events at IBC Giessen, please take a look at the Church Calendar on our website: https://www.ibc-giessen.org/calendar/. If you require a link to our livestream or any other online activity we have coming up this week, please e-mail office@ibc-giessen.org.

Have a blessed week!
