Update for Monday, September 1st 2025

Dear Church family and friends,

“When the race is complete still my lips shall repeat yet not I but through Christ in me”

In Sunday’s sermon, Kennedy mentioned races a fair few times. Our lives as whole could be considered a race, and the circumstances and situations that fill it several smaller ones. Using Philippians 3 : 12 – 13 looks at what we need to do to win those races: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yyt1u3LeTB0

This week in Church…

Praying Moms for this week took place this (Monday) morning at 9:30am. Next week’s Zoom prayer session will be on Tuesday (9th) at 7:30pm.

Young Adults’ Bible Study (YABS) takes place on Tuesday evening at 7pm. They will be meeting in their smaller groups dotted around Giessen. To find out which one’s easiest for you to get to, please write to yabs@ibc-giessen.org.

Worship Service takes place on the usual day and time of Sunday at 11am in the Chapel Room of the FTH. As it will be the first Sunday of the month, we will be partaking in the Lord’s Table. If you are joining in from home via our livestream, perhaps you would like to prepare some juice and bread before logging on.

If you require a link to our livestream or any other online activity we have coming up this week, please e-mail office@ibc-giessen.org. For a full list of all upcoming events at IBC Giessen, please take a look at the Church Calendar on our website: https://www.ibc-giessen.org/calendar/.

King’s Daughters…

After the cancellation of August’s King’s Daughters, the ladies are hoping to gather together on Saturday 13th September to discuss Bible memorization. To prepare, have a go at committing Galatians 2:20 to memory. There will not be a test, nor will anyone be put on the spot to recite, but everyone’s encouraged to attempt it and think about how you go about learning it. Further information about where and when the women will meet will follow in future Church announcements.

Blessings and God’s grace be poured out on to you this week!
