Dear Church family and friends,
The other week Daniel brought us ‘the Hobbit Moment’; yesterday, he brought us ‘the Oedipus moment’. It is a good thing that he gives a brief outline of the story of Oedipus, as many would have an understanding of it which leaves out important details, therefore giving the tale and completely different meaning. This week in Church…
Praying Moms took place this morning at 9:30am. Their next online meeting is on Tuesday 21st at 7:30pm.
Young Adults’ Bible Study (YABS) will be happening this week. At the time of writing we have no information as to where or when, but we’re sure if you get in contact with Pastor Johannes, Mona or Oliver they will be able to give you some insight. Mid-Week Bible Study this Wednesday will be an online only event. At 7pm, the group will meet via Zoom and continue their discussion on the Holy Spirit.
King’s Daughters meet on Saturday at 2pm in a room at Campus für Christus. They will be looking at techniques and tips for memorizing scripture, with Galatians 2 : 20 as their focus text. If you’re a woman and would be interested in attending, please leave a thumbs-up in the WhatsApp group, or write to the e-mail address given below.
Worship Service on Sunday at 11am at the FTH can also be followed online if you need to. Otherwise we look forward to seeing you there!

Food Glorious Food…
The weekend after next – on Saturday 25th October at 9:30am – our men will meet once again for their monthly breakfast. This is the second time they will be gathering in the Campus für Christus rooms, so they’ve already gotten used to their new set up. As ever, a breakfast needs food and that’s the responsibility of those attending. Please write to office@ibc-giessen.org if you are a gentleman and planning on being part of the group at the end of this month.
In roughly a month it’ll be time for our autumn Pot-Luck. After the service on 16th November, we’ll gather for an extended time of fellowship, as we share with one another not only the food, but our thanks to God for how He has loved and provided for us this year. Be sure to mark this in your calendars and bring a dish!
