Update for Monday, December 29th 2025

Dear Church family and friends,

With Christmas Eve and Christmas Day being so close to a weekend perhaps you are only now coming to a point where relaxation and calm reflection on Christmas and the closing of the year can happen. Might we suggest that you grab a hot drink, your Bible and maybe a treat to enjoy as you listen to Pastor Buddy’s sermon from the 24thhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xb2VjeqQeos – or Pastor Lucas’ sermon from the 28thhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FZ5_hyA5-c ?

This week in Church…

Praying Moms will be happening on Tuesday (30th) evening at 7:30pm. Their next session after that is on Monday 5th at 9:30am.

Young Adults’ Bible Study (YABS) meets on Tuesday evenings at 7pm. More information can be found in the WhatsApp group or by asking Pastor Johannes, Mona or Oliver. Another way you can get in touch is by writing to yabs@ibc-giessen.org.

Worship Service is again the first of the year and the first of the month! So, we will be gathering on Sunday (4th) morning at 11am in the Chapel Room of the FTH to reflect on the coming year, as well as break bread with one another as part of the Lord’s Table. If you are watching online, you may wish to gather some bread and juice before logging on.

For a full list of all upcoming events at IBC Giessen, please take a look at the Church Calendar on our website: https://www.ibc-giessen.org/calendar/. If you require a link to our livestream or any other online activity we have coming up this week, please e-mail office@ibc-giessen.org.

For many, 2025 has been yet another complicated year in the current decade. Life doesn’t appear to have become any easier, in fact, it has become harder! We have been praying for struggling marriages, families that have hit hard times, and for those persevering through difficult work atmospheres – and it might be that we need to continue lifting these things up to the Lord in 2026. The changing of the year does not hold any promises – but our loving Father who remains unmoving and steadfast, does.

Enjoy whatever it is that you have planned on 31st, and may God bless you as you start the New Year!
