Update for Monday, January 12th 2026

Dear Church family and friends,

Frozen.
It’s how many of us are feeling in the current weather, what the streets and roads outside are, and for many parents the name of a film that has surely had a few showings in their households in the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately, it also describes what happens to the picture in the recording of Pastor Buddy’s sermon from Sunday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBjZMecbIKI. We decided to upload it though, as you are still able to follow his thoughts and he gives a good insight into what’s coming up in the next stages of our long-term study of the book of John.

This week in Church…

Praying Moms will meet online tomorrow (Tuesday 13th) evening at 7:30pm. Next week, their online prayer session is on Monday 19th at 9:30am.

Worship Service takes place on Sunday at 11am in the Chapel Room of the FTH. If you are ill, we wish you well, but ask that you remain at home and watch our livestream.

For a full list of all upcoming events at IBC Giessen, please take a look at the Church Calendar on our website: https://www.ibc-giessen.org/calendar/. If you require a link to our livestream or any other online activity we have coming up this week, please e-mail office@ibc-giessen.org.

Another Important Date…

… is our Business Meeting after the service on 25th January. This date has been mentioned a lot because it is an important one. Everyone has the right to attend and discuss matters regarding the organisation of IBC Giessen. Our main topic, however, will be closing the budget for the previous year and the proposed budget for the current one. Both of these will be voted upon and only those who are members will be entitled to do so. The meeting itself will be livestreamed, but there will be no possibility to vote, regardless of your membership status.

Hopefully the weather has not had too much of an impact on your week and that energised start into the New Year has remained, although much hibernation may now seem more appealing. Be safe and be blessed!
