Dear Church family and friends,
Trusting in God in times when it seems that only the devil is doing the work is much easier said than done. The reassurance that God is working too comes across as empty and not particularly comforting. However, evidence of Jesus working in spite of the devil’s actions is commonplace in the Bible, including in the passages that Kennedy looked at on Sunday, John 13: 1 – 5: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDp67X2MJJw

Bear in Mind…
… the Pot-Luck after the service on Sunday 16th November. Don’t forget to your culinary contribution!
… the Christmas shoeboxes for sailors. Throw some toothpaste and toothbrushes, or men’s shower gel and shampoo in your basket the next time you go shopping.
We rejoiced with Israel last week as the hostages were re-united with their families, bringing an end to a harrowing chapter of their lives. That doesn’t mean that we should stop praying, though, as these are people shattered and in need of healing. The way is long, but God is with them. We should also remember other countries still fighting on going wars; that they might experience peace soon.
Have a blessed week!
