Update for Monday, February 24th 2025

Dear Church family and friends,

Delivering a sermon on the day of a national election is a tough job. Remaining impartial, yet acknowledging the difficulties faced by both potential leaders and voters – as well  as encouraging us to think beyond the political landscape – Pastor Johannes stood up to the task with a look at the fears the Romans had of Jesus in John 11: 45 – 54: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HC0TRurzHT4

Coming Up…

… on the Saturday 8th March is the next King’s Daughters event. As spring is just around the corner, and nature revives and renews itself, the ladies will be discovering what that can also mean in their spiritual lives. The event will take place at 2:30pm in the FTH Student Kitchen and each lady will have the opportunity to sow a flower seed which they can take home, nourish and watch bloom and grow. If this appeals to you, please register by writing to office@ibc-giessen.org by Wednesday 5th March.

The significance of today’s date cannot have escaped your notice – certainly it has been reported on in the news, what with the most recent attack. The Ukrainian/Russian conflict is now in its fourth year, with today marking the year since the gathering of troops and military action. Let us remain persistent and steadfast in our prayer to the Prince of Peace that He brings a solution to this situation. That the powers that so desperately seek dominance might be stopped and harmony may be restored.

We pray that God blesses you richly and gives you peace this week!
