Dear Church family and friends,
The 2nd March being the first Sunday of the month meant that we return to our verses of the year which can be found in Romans 12. Yesterday, Pastor Buddy sunk his teeth into verse 10 which commands us to “Be devoted to one another in love”. This week in Church…

Praying Moms met together this morning (Monday 3rd). Next week they will get together on Zoom on Tuesday 11th at 7:30pm.
Mid-Week Bible Study starts a new topic this coming Wednesday at 7pm. Over the next week, the group will be looking at 1and 2 Kings. This is a hybrid Bible Study, with in-person sessions being held in the Israel Room at the FTH, while also being an online session via Zoom.
A King’s Daughters event will take place on Saturday (8th) at 2:30pm in the Student Kitchen of the FTH. Here, the ladies will be looking at the re-generation of life that spring brings, while planting seeds which will then be taken home to look after. If you are a woman and interested in taking part, please write to the e-mail address given below by Wednesday 5th to register.
Sunday Morning Worship Service will take place in the Chapel Room at the FTH at the usual time of 11am. If you are unable to join our in-person congregation, you are more than welcome to be part of our livestream.

The beginning of Lent…
On your way to Church on Sunday you may have noticed the road closures in place for the Karnevalsumzüge (Carnival Parade). You probably rolled your eyes and got irritated by them. Whatever your response, they mark the beginning of Lent – which officially starts on Wednesday, 40 days before Easter. We do not have a countdown for you to follow, but we did want to put a few dates in your diary for the celebration of the most pivotal part of our faith:
There will be no Mid-Week Bible Study in Passion Week (Weds 16th April), however, on Thursday 17th we will be commemorating Jesus’ life, mission and sacrifice in a Maundy Thursday evening service starting at 7pm. There will not be a service on Good Friday.
On Easter Sunday (20th April) we will share breakfast together before the service at 11am. Starting at 9am, we’ll gather together for a bring-and-share meal before celebrating the resurrection of Christ through song, prayer and God’s Word.
As this update is being written, reports are breaking of a situation occurring in Mannheim. It is frightening to read again of such an incident. Please keep the victims and their families in your prayers, as well as those who witnessed what had happened.
God be with you in this week!
