Sometimes when you are listening to a sermon a worship song comes to mind, usually connected to the focus or Bible scripture. Or are the only ones who experience that? Yesterday morning, while Pastor Johannes preached on the next instalment of our Verse of the Year series – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YekBfMHNLSE – ‘Shine Jesus Shine’ seemed like a fitting song, so it started to play somewhere in the subconscious. This week in Church…
Young Adults’ Bible Study (YABS) will meet at the slightly earlier time of 6:30pm on Tuesday evening. As it is the first Tuesday of the month, it’s time for Big YABS in the Student Kitchen at the FTH. Here, all groups will meet, eat, share and pray together. The meal is bring-and-share style, so be sure to prepare a dish or drink! If you would like more information about YABS, please write to yabs@ibc-giessen.org
Praying Moms also meets on Tuesday evening this week, at 7:30pm via Zoom. Next week they will be gathering together in the same way on Monday (12th) morning at 9:30am.
Mid-Week Bible Study continues on Wednesday evening at 7pm in the Israel Room in the FTH. If you are not able to make it on time, you can join this study of Israel’s Kings online.
King’s Daughters will be meeting for a tea party at Edma’s place on Saturday at 1:30pm. Tea and cake will be provided, as well as stationary for making thank you cards for those who contribute their time to life at IBC Giessen. If you are a lady and interested in attending, just get in contact with us using the e-mail address given below.
Sunday morning at 11am we will meet in the Chapel Room of the FTH for our weekly Worship Service. If you are unable to be there physically, you can watch along online via our livestream.

Coming Up…
On Friday next week, the 16th, we’ll be having our next Worship Night at 6:30pm! It’s been a little while since our last one, but we are looking forward to filling up the Chapel Room with praise and prayer, and being in God’s presence together.
A quick word to the gentlemen: there will not be a Men’s Breakfast in May.
