Dear Church family and friends,
The widow in Mark 12 : 41 – 44 brought all that she could in full devotion to God. Others may have had their comments and opinions, and while she may have known that it might not be as good as what others might be able to do, she trusted that God would know what to do with her offering and that He would see her efforts as a reflection of her love for Him. In the same way, we present this week’s video of Pastor Lucas’ sermon from Sunday: we are aware that it has some sound problems to begin with, and then a few hiccups before settling, but it is possible to follow the sermon. This week in Church…
Young Adults’ Bible Study (YABS) returns this week to meeting in their smaller groups dotted around Giessen. Everyone meets at 7pm and there’s even an English speaking group! If you would like to find out more about what they are studying, or who is meeting where please write to yabs@ibc-giessen.org
Praying Moms met this morning (Monday) at 9:30am. Their next online gathering is next Tuesday (20th) and we will provide the link to it in next week’s Church announcement.
Mid-Week Bible Study continues on Wednesday evening at 7pm in the Israel Room in the FTH. For those unable to make it for that time, you are more than welcome to join this study on Israel’s Kings via Zoom. Don’t feel that you need to have attended every session to be part of the study group – newcomers are always welcome!
Worship Night! Join us for an extended time of singing and prayer on Friday at 6:30pm in the Chapel Room. Our Worship Nights are designed to be a time to really focus on God and deepen our relationship with him. They are less formal than our Sunday morning services and are a space for you to worship as you feel comfortable.
Sunday morning at 11am we will meet in the Chapel Room of the FTH for our weekly Worship Service. If you are unable to be there physically, you can watch along online via our livestream.
